The Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Department at NIOH is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of eye diseases in children, as well as the management of ocular motility disorders in all age groups. The department provides specialized care for congenital, developmental, and acquired pediatric eye conditions, ensuring early detection and lifelong visual development.

Visual Acuity Assessment – age-appropriate vision tests using charts,
pictures, and preferential looking techniques.
- Cycloplegic
Refraction – for accurate detection of refractive errors.

Motility & Alignment Tests – Hirschberg test, Krimsky test,
cover/uncover, alternate cover, and prism bar cover tests.
- Orthoptic
Evaluation – binocular vision and fusion assessment.
